Dealing with constant performance pressure
The pressure to perform continuously and at a high level in competitive settings (i.e., gaming, eSports, academics, or in the workplace) can often be too great for many. This is due to the constant expectation to produce results, maintain consistency, and meet expectations without error. While this pressure may motivate individuals to put in more effort than usual and maintain motivation to succeed; it also causes anxiety, increased stress/overwork, decreased self-esteem and inability to keep focus on one's job when all three occur. By understanding how people manage their continued effort to succeed in order to identify their coping mechanisms/resiliency/mindset/proven methods for managing the continued pressure for performance.
